We don't have any puppies on the way at this time, we may have some pups late summer 2018. At this time I am not taking any emails for puppies. I promise to keep everyone posted as soon as a litter has arrived. Thanks so much Linda

When the litters arrive I will make note of when the departure date will be set. This is an important part of the puppy process so please check your calendars and make sure this date will work for you. A lot of time and effort go into getting pups ready to go, along with my stable things here at Windswept are on a schedule. I will give plenty of notice for my families to plan accordingly for travel and if a personal day needs to be taken. I usually try to schedule departures for Saturday.

Please include some information about yourself, family and homelife so that I can make the best choices when placing my Corgis. I understand my pups aren't for everyone and want to make sure they go to the best homes possible.

Please remember no shipping via cargo of a Windswept Corgi. I am happy to meet you at the Quad City Airport if you wish to fly in to "fetch" your puppy. Otherwise we will look forward to showing off our Corgis and Corral

You are welcome to visit our Windswept Corgi Gallery to better acquaint yourself with our breeding Corgis.

Once our litters have arrived you will find their own "Gallery" and will start to enjoy the fun from birth until the time for departure.

You will be able to visit each week and keep up with your puppy's progress.

Let the fun begin

Thank you for taking the time to get acquainted with how I place my pups here at Windswept.

#1 All Windswept puppies are placed in pet homes as companions. This means all puppies will be placed with AKC Limited Registration Status.

#2 Windswept has NO SHIPPING POLICY, our families are encouraged to come to Windswept to finalize the purchase of your Windswept Corgi.

Throughout the years of trial and error I try to make things as easy, straight forward and fun as possible.

Once we have a verbal and monetary commitment to one of my pups we can both sit back and enjoy watching your new Corgi family member grow and mature until the departure date arrives.

As a breeder the only way I know for sure that a puppy is spoken for is with a monetary commitment.

Deposits for a Windswept Corgi will be half the agreed upon purchase price. Email works best for me since I am in and out often.
I have elected to keep pricing off of our public website. Pricing and purchase will remain private between myself and new family member.

We encourage our families to share their Windswept experience with our updates and puppy pictures.

Once a verbal commitment is established, there is a 3 day window for your check or money order to arrive. I will let you know promptly when I receive it and appreciate your promptness as well.

The only time a deposit will be refund is if said puppy expires or I am not able to full fill your puppy needs. Changing your mind does not qualify for a refund of deposit.

I put a tremendous amount of time and effort into my pups and families and it is important we are all on the same page.

Rearing a litter of pups take time, yes I enjoy what I do but I also need to make sure that my families understand that without my guidelines things can get quite hectic with managing my families.

I will thank you in advance for understanding.

Prior to pick up your vet appt. should be scheduled from within 3 days of date to pick up. This is important to all involved so that all parties are in agreement that your new puppy is in fine and good health. If you want the health guarantee to stay in effect. Honestly, some people just wait until pup is 9 weeks old. That is when the second shot is due.

It is recommended by Windswept Corgis that at this appt. no shots will be necessary. This is only an overall good health check up.

Pleaset take the “Shot Schedule” given to you by Windswept.

At this time you will discuss shots needed for your area. It is recommended that your new puppy only get the required shots stated as they can be very hard on puppies and sometime adverse affects can happen.

You will also at this time discuss the best time to start your new puppy on “Heartguard” medication. It is recommended that you start the puppy at an appropriate weight and time of the year when it is actually in need. Again, over medicating can cause serious side effects and even death.

Below is the schedule and vaccines that I use.
6 Weeks Wormed with Nemex
6 Weeks Duramune Max CVK
9 Weeks Duramune Max CVK
9 Weeks Bordetella
12 Weeks Duramune Max CVK-4L
15 Weeks Duramune Max CVK-4L
15 Weeks Rabies Vaccine

Departure Dates:

When I have a litter I will set a departure date. I usually start releasing pups between the 7 & 8 week age. Over the years I have found this age is perfect for release dates.

When thinking of bringing home a Windswept Corgi take the time to look at the date set and your personal schedule. It is very important that I stay true to my dates set. I usually will work around a Saturday along with whoever can arrive on the prior Friday. This insures all the pups are placed and doesn't leave one lone puppy sad waiting for its new family.

This too will insure at that our Health Certificate issued by my vet will be current.

I would again like to thank you all in advance in understanding that departure time for Windswept puppies is a busy time. We want to make sure our families have the information and time to go over our paper work.
